My Approach to Clinical Supervision
I offer a collaborative, reflective, and supportive supervision space where supervisees can explore their clinical work with curiosity, confidence, and honesty. My approach is grounded in person-centred values, creating a relationship built on trust, respect, and authenticity while maintaining a clear focus on ethical and professional practice.
I see supervision as a place for reflection, growth, and learning. Together we explore client work, celebrate strengths, identify areas for development, and consider the impact that the work may have on the therapist personally and professionally. I encourage supervisees to bring both successes and challenges, knowing they will be met with warmth, openness, and constructive support.
My supervision integrates the restorative, formative, and normative functions of supervision. Alongside supporting clinical skills and professional development, I pay close attention to therapist wellbeing, self-care, and resilience, recognising the emotional demands of therapeutic work.
Having extensive experience working with children, young people, adults, and within educational and charitable settings, I support both trainee and qualified practitioners. I aim to create a reflective space where supervisees feel safe enough to think deeply, challenge assumptions, develop their practice, and remain connected to their own therapeutic values.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that effective supervision nurtures both the practitioner and the work they do, ultimately benefiting the clients they serve.
